Description: Generates a Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, DBF or PDF file of sample labels with assigned containers, and generates information for samples that have container information. The output is grouped by SYS_SAMPLE_CODE and then sorted by CONTAINER_ID.

 

Installation Instructions: This report requires a licensed SPM and the SPM Schema applied to the database.

For SPM usage, no additional steps are necessary.

For Enterprise usage, this report should be published to the database. The report will be available for selection once it has been published.

For Professional usage, this report should be published to the database or have the .dll added to the local '.../Earthsoft/EQuIS/' folder.

 

Overview: The reports generate a collection of columns relevant to container labels that can be included in a labels template.  Each report also generates a couple of barcodes that can be included in the label template, as follows:  

SPM – Labels includes a choice of Barcode or QRBarcode for SYS_SAMPLE_CODE

SPM – Labels (Custom) includes a choice of Barcode or QRBarcode for SYS_LOC_CODE

SPM – Labels (Custom2) includes a Barcode for SYS_LOC_CODE and one for SYS_SAMPLE_CODE

Parameter to select the sample plan code. Only plans with applicable tasks are shown.

Avery Pro Designer

Output file type for Avery Pro Designer: dbf or Excel.

MS Word Template

Select a Microsoft Word template. This will overwrite the Excel output if selected above. Refer to the Import COC Template for COC Report article for information on how to add a template to this parameter list, with the exception that on Step 10, DT_FILE.PLACE_TYPE must be "labels".

PDF Output

Checkbox for PDF output. Default: True.

 

The DBF file can be used in Avery DesignPro 5. Open a blank project from scratch for any label of your choice, then create the label template from the Database > Open button. Database > Display records will then create the label based on this template and the DBF output.

 

The Excel file can be used in Excel, Avery Design and Print or Avery Design and Print Online. Enter the Avery product ID to get started, choose the 'import data' option, then follow the prompts.
