Description: The Range Based Exceedance Action Level calculates action levels for Aluminum, Cadmium, Copper and Lead for each sample, based on the Hardness value for the sample.
The DT_ACTION_LEVEL_LOOKUP table stores values that allow Advanced Action Levels to be looked up or calculated. This hard-coded Range Based Advanced Action Level can be replaced with the new LOOKUP Advanced Action Level.
1.Extract the EarthSoft.ActionLevels.Library.44351.zip to your EQuIS folder.
2.Create a new action level code with Hardness, Aluminum, Cadmium, Copper, Lead and Nickel. Hardness cas_rn is assumed to be HARD. Leave the action_level value blank for all the analytes.
3.Open DT_ACTION_LEVEL, select the new action level, and enter object_name=EarthSoft.ActionLevels.Library.44351,EarthSoft.ActionLevels.Library._44351.[YOUR_EXCEEDENCE]. Save and close DT_ACTION_LEVEL. The DT_ACTION_LEVEL.OBJECT_NAME will specify the assembly and classname where additional logic for computing the action level is included.
4.Run the Action Level Exceedance II by User Report or the Action Level Exceedance II with Parameters Report on the new Action Level. Make sure the Analytical Results User Report has the necessary results for all the required analytes.

The Range Based Exceedance Action Level calculates action levels for Aluminum, Cadmium, Copper and Lead for each sample, based on the Hardness value for the sample.

•Aluminum Objective: 5 ug/L at pH <6.5, Ca <4 mg/L and DOC <2 mg/L; 100 ug/L at pH ≥ 6.5, Ca ≥ 4 mg/L and DOC ≥ 2 mg/L
•Cadmium Objective: 0.017 ug/L where hardness is 0 - 48.5 mg/L; 0.032 ug/L where hardness is 48.5 - 97; 0.058 where hardness is 97 - 194; 0.10 ug/L where hardness is >194
•Copper Objective: 2 ug/L where hardness is 0 - 120 mg/L; 3 ug/L where hardness is 120 - 180 mg/L; 4 ug/L where hardness is >180 mg/L
•Lead Objective: 1 ug/L where hardness is 0 - 60 mg/L; 2 ug/L where hardness is 60 - 120 mg/L; 4 ug/L where hardness is 120 - 180 mg/L; 7 ug/L where hardness is >180 mg/L
•Nickel Objective: 25 ug/L where hardness is 0 - 60 mg/L; 65 ug/L where hardness is 60 - 120 mg/L; 110 ug/L where hardness is 120 - 180 mg/L; 150 ug/L where hardness is >180 mg/L

Data Requirements: Add Hardness as an action level parameter to the action level. You may also need to add Aluminum, Cadmium, Copper, Lead and Nickel, depending on which analytes require the calculation based action level. Hardness should be reported in mg/l; all other analytes should be reported in ug/l.
