•Check for Repeated Results – Multiple Methods |
The DQM Check for Repeated Results checks for any instances where more than one result was reported for a given sample, method, analyte, and fraction and allows the user to select which result is reportable. There are two methods to check for repeated results.
Check if two or more results exist for the same sample/method/fraction/analyte.
Check name is EarthSoft.DQM.RepeatedResults.
This check uses three Global Parameters:
1.reportable_result – DT_RESULT.REPORTABLE_RESULT values to include in DQM datasets
2.result_type_code – DT_RESULT.RESULT_TYPE_CODE to include in DQM datasets
3.test_type_batch – AT_TEST_BATCH_ASSIGN.TEST_BATCH_TYPE to include in DQM dataset
Warning: Multi-value test_batch_type settings in Global Parameters are supported only for result datasets that have a single TEST_BATCH_ID assigned to each TEST_ID. If a multi-value test_batch_type is used and there are multiple TEST_BATCH_IDs assigned to a single TEST_ID, then exceptions for the Repeated Results check will be thrown even when there are no repeated results in DT_RESULT. |
There is one rule:
REPEATED RESULTS = two or more results in DT_RESULT are listed as Exceptions if there is more than one result with the same:
a.SAMPLE_ID,
b.ANALYTIC_METHOD,
c.CAS_RN, and
d.FRACTION.
This data can exist if the lab submits the INITIAL result package and a RETEST or REANALYSIS result package for the same set of samples.
DQM will allow the user to mark one package as REPORTABLE_RESULT = "Yes", and the other one as REPORTABLE_RESULT = 'No", by using the steps outlined below.
Check if two or more results exist for the same sample, fraction, analyte.
Check name is EarthSoft.DQM.RepeatedResultsTwoMethods.
This check uses the REPORTABLE_RESULT, result_type_code, and TEST_BATCH_TYPE parameters from Global Parameters.
There is one rule:
REPEATED RESULTS - TWO METHODS = two or more results in DT_RESULT listed as Exceptions if there is more than one result with the same:
a.SAMPLE_ID,
b.CAS_RN, and
c.FRACTION.
This data can exist if two or more methods containing the same analytes are run on the same set of samples.
DQM will allow the user to mark one package as REPORTABLE_RESULT = "Yes", and the other one as REPORTABLE_RESULT = 'No", by using the steps outlined below.
On the DQM Process Event Form:
•Select the Exceptions by Check tab.
•Select Repeated Results in the Check drop-down list.
•Use the column filter to show only the results to retain as reportable. For example:
▪TEST_TYPE = REANALYSIS or
▪ANALYTIC_METHOD = SW8260.
•Delete all of the R's from the APPLY_QUALIFIER column by:
▪Leaving the yellow text box empty, and
▪Clicking the Update Apply Q button.
•Save the Event.
On the Complete Event Form:
•Check the Change Reportable Result option (and others as appropriate).
•Click the Save button.
By default* this will change DT_RESULT.REPORTABLE_RESULT to "No" for those results saved with the APPLY_QUALIFIER = "R" indicating a Rejected Result.
*Users are encouraged to review and customize the Global Parameters via the DQM Settings Form.
In the Errors tab of the DQM Event Review Form, this error may be listed:
•"One of the required rules for this check is not present in the RT_DQM_RULE table."
If you receive this error, the QAPP can be updated following the How to Update Existing QAPPs documentation page.
