1.Click a location where an annotation is added. Consider the following:
a.The location should be within the charting area covered by X/Y coordinates.
b.If an annotation is added onto a place outside of the charting area, it will not show up.
c.However, if the chart is exported to Excel, the 'outside' annotation is present in the Excel output.
2.Click Add Annotation to add an annotation to the right of the selected location.
3.Click the added annotation to open its properties in the Advanced tab. Modify the value of Text to a desired annotation and press the Enter key.
4.Modify XValue or YValue to adjust the location of the annotation if needed.
Note that the ability to drag-drop an annotation to change its location is not available at this time, but may be a function in the future.
5.Press the Ctrl key and click on the annotation to delete or remove it.
Click an annotation, edit its Text value in the Advanced tab by inserting " \n " where it needs to break into multiple lines, e.g. if the value of Text is edited to "first line \n second line" after, press the Enter key; the annotation will appear as:
first line
second line
Note: There must be spaces between the desired text lines and "\n" in order to have multiple lines appear. |
Note that images have the same limitations as noted in the Annotation section of this article.
1.Click a location where an image is added.
2.Click Add Image to add an image.
3.Click the added image to open its properties in the Advanced tab, and to edit its size.
After editing the size, click in the value of Text and press the Space key so that the changes to the image size can be triggered.
4.Modify XValue or YValue to adjust the location of the image if needed.
5.Press the Ctrl key and click on the annotation to delete or remove it.
Click Save Template on the Chart Toolbar to save the active chart with images and annotations into an template xml file if needed. Click Load Template to load the xml file later.
