Side-by-Side Configuration Error

The following error can occur when an existing EQuIS.exe.config has been incorrectly edited and now contains invalid XML syntax (i.e. a missing bracket). If a backup of the edited configuration file is available, try restoring from the backup. If a backup is not available, examine the configuration file and correct any invalid syntax.

"C:\Program Files\EarthSoft\EQuIS\EQuIS.exe [or, for per-user installation, C:\Users\[localuser]\Programs\EarthSoft\EQuIS\EQuIS.exe]

The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail."
