Live Installation and Configuration

Important Note: Prior to installing EQuIS Live 7, Enterprise 7 must be installed on the EQuIS database. Detailed instructions for either new installations of Enterprise 7 or upgrading Enterprise 6.6.x systems to Enterprise 7 are available in the Enterprise article Installation and Configuration.

EQuIS Live 7 Widgets files are installed as part of Enterprise 7. Deploy action executed during Enterprise 7 installation/upgrade performs Live widget installation/upgrade.

To install or upgrade EQuIS Live 7 Schema and reports:

1.Download the appropriate version of the EQuIS_Live_Schema (.zip) from the EarthSoft Community Center Downloads Dashboard (Products > EQuIS Live > v7). Unblock and extract the file.

2.Copy the schema.LIVE.xme file to C:\Program Files\EarthSoft\EQuIS\db\ and update the database using EQuIS Professional.

3.Publish or republish Live reports in Professional (note that the Live reports are now included in the Enterprise 7 bin folder):

a.Copy Earthsoft.Live.dll, Earthsoft.Live.Reports.dll and DotSpatial.Positioning.dll from the EQuIS Enterprise bin folder (e.g., C:\Program Files\EarthSoft\Enterprise7\bin\) to the EQuIS Professional folder, where EQuIS.exe is located (e.g., C:\Program Files\EarthSoft\EQuIS\).

b.Open Report Publisher in EQuIS Professional 7. Navigate to where the .dll files from the previous step were copied to (e.g., C:\Program Files\EarthSoft\EQuIS\) and publish the EarthSoft.Live.Reports.dll report.

c.Click ‘Yes’ when asked to store the report assembly to the database.

Note: Earthsoft.Live.dll is not publishable, and it's not stored in the database when the Earthsoft.Live.Reports.dll is published and stored in the database. It must be present in the Enterprise 7 bin folder, as well as all local EQuIS Professional folders, that run the Live reports.
